Customer Service Manager

Bruce is a 1972 graduate of Bradley University, Peoria, IL with a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting. After that, he spent six years with the U.S. Air Force as a Weapons Systems Officer flying F4 Phantoms in the US, Southeast Asia and Europe before beginning his industrial laundry career in 1978.

Working at all levels within the company, he rose to the position of General Manager. His extensive experience in plant production for over two decades provides him with a unique point of view when encountering production quality concerns in the laundry arena.

Bruce now serves Leonard Automatics as the Customer Service Manager and focuses his activities on customer training and technical support along with field service, installation and plc control programming and development.

Prior to joining Leonard Automatics, Bruce had worked on the production side of the industry since 1978. During his time in the laundry, he was involved in all levels within the company including sales, service, plant operations and equipment planning among other things.

Dave Perry was hired on as a maintenance apprentice with Superior Overall Laundry in 1979. Within two and a half years, Dave was promoted to Chief Engineer. A year later, he was leading the effort to finalize an installation for Van Dyne Crotty which opened in June of 1981. By 1986 he was promoted to Northern Regional Facilities Manager and from there to Corporate Engineer.

Over the next twenty years, Dave managed the design and installation of several new industrial laundries, as well as, countless facility retrofits. His knowledge of the industrial laundry process and equipment is practically unrivaled in our industry.

Based on his years of experience working in or with every facet of an industrial laundry, Dave has an understanding of the entire process from incoming soil to out going finished product.

Dan joined Leonard Automatics, Inc. in 1996 as an equipment fabricator. He later moved into a customer service roll providing trouble shooting, equipment installations and technical support.

From this experience, sales and engineering of overall systems was the logical next step.

Each time Dan or his sales staff sits down with a customer, they bring with them the technical expertise to engineer a fully integrated system, and the understanding to develop a plan and layout that is functionally superior and cost effective.

As Vice President of Sales you can be assured that Dan will strive to make your particular and unique installation a success.

Prior to Leonard Automatics, Dan was employed by Duke Power Company as a nuclear and fossil plant maintenance technician. That coupled with his experience as a US Navy Weapons Technician, Dan has a solid background with mechanical and electrical systems, problem solving skills and teamwork.

Leonard Automatics was founded by Jeff’s father, Leonard in 1969. Jeff began working with his father in 1972 installing new tunnels and rebuilding machines. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1980, he spent two years as a technical sales representative in another industry before returning to Leonard full time in 1982. In 1994, Jeff became President, and two years after that, he purchased the company.

Jeff embraced all aspects of the business and is responsible for the company’s growth into a recognized leader and innovator in the laundry and garment manufacturing industries. He continues to push the boundaries of garment finishing technology. He holds several U.S. patents for innovations for tunnel finishing and allied products.

He has also been very active in the industry’s associations. Jeff has served on committees for UTSA and on the board of directors for TRSA, and on the Board of Directors for TCATA. He was honored in 2005 when awarded the prestigious James A. Biggie Award, and in 2012 when he received the Maglin/Biggie Associate Lifetime Achievement Award.
